What you need to succeed

  • Holder of a DEC in aircraft maintenance or a DEP in mechanical assembly

  • Relevant experience: 2 to 5 years in the aeronautical field;

  • Proficiency in computer tools

  • Interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude

  • This position is in a French-speaking environment, however, it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations

What will your daily life be like?

General responsibilities

  • Disassemble engine accessories using standard and special tools following the steps described according to the manuals of various aeronautical manufacturers. Inspect and determine the condition of all parts and components.

  • Assemble disassembled and inspected accessories, ensuring the quality of remaining and replaced parts.

  • Test accessories and verify performance under conditions and limits specified by synchronized throttle and various flow and temperature controls. Verify and certify the airworthiness of parts.

  • May be required to work on different models such as Nozzles, Pumps, and Fuel Control Units (FCU) of the department.

Specific responsibilities

  • Work from verbal or written instructions, drawings or schedules regarding methods and equipment to be used.

  • Disassemble, clean, check, repair, adapt, assemble, test, analyze, and correct faults.

  • Adjust various mechanical, electrical, and electronic parts integrated into the accessories to ensure they meet specifications.

  • Determine repairs or modifications to be carried out.

  • Restore surface finish by performing required treatment such as anodizing and painting.

  • Complete and approve necessary documentation for their work and perform required computer transactions.

  • Verify, make adjustments, and accept or reject parts and accessories.

  • Keep appropriate records of different parameters up-to-date to establish efficient operations with statistical process control.

  • Make decisions regarding the continuity of operations, discuss the situation with planners, and recommend modifications to operating parameters to meet specifications.

  • Keep equipment up-to-date and perform continuous monitoring.

  • Communicate with technical support services, quality assurance, and other services to clarify, evaluate, and resolve difficulties with accessories or methods and provide an evaluation to follow up and apply fixed provisions.

  • Participate in the development of new processes, products, and reworks for the choice of methods and tools.

  • Perform maintenance routines to ensure, among other things, that fluid levels are adequate, filters are clean, and the general condition of the machine complies with the checklist.

  • Maintain their equipment and work environment clean and in good condition.

  • Participate in training and share their knowledge with teammates on different equipment and tasks.
