What you need to succeed

  • Holder of a DEC in aircraft maintenance or a DEP in mechanical assembly

  • Relevant experience: 2 to 5 years in the aeronautics field

  • Mastery of computer tools

  • Interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude

  • This position is set in a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations

What will your daily routine look like?

General Responsibilities

  • Disassemble engine accessories using standard and special tools following the steps described in the manuals of various aeronautical manufacturers. Inspect and determine the condition of all parts and components.

  • Assemble disassembled and inspected accessories, ensuring the quality of remaining and replaced parts.

  • Test accessories and verify performance under conditions and limits provided by synchronized control of the throttle and various flow and temperature controls. Verify and certify the airworthiness of parts.

  • May be called upon to work on various models such as Nozzles, Pumps, and Fuel Control Units (FCU) of the department.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Work from verbal or written instructions, drawings or schedules concerning methods and equipment to be used.

  • Disassemble, clean, check, repair, adapt, assemble, test, analyze and troubleshoot.

  • Adjust various mechanical, electronic and electrical parts integrated into accessories to ensure specifications are met.

  • Determine repairs or modifications to be performed.

  • Restore surface finish by performing required treatments such as anodizing and painting.

  • Complete and approve necessary work documentation and perform required computer transactions.

  • Verify, make adjustments and accept or reject parts and accessories.

  • Keep appropriate records of various parameters to establish efficient operations with statistical process control.

  • Make decisions concerning the continuity of operations, discuss the situation with planners and recommend modifications to operating parameters to meet specifications.

  • Maintain equipment and perform continuous monitoring.

  • Communicate with technical support services, quality assurance and other services to clarify, evaluate and resolve difficulties on accessories or methods and provide evaluation to follow up and apply established provisions.

  • Participate in the development of new processes, products and rework for the choice of methods and tools.

  • Perform maintenance routines to ensure, among other things, that fluid levels are adequate, filters are clean and the general condition of the machine complies with the checklist.

  • Keep equipment and work environment clean and in good condition.

  • Participate in training and share knowledge with teammates on various equipment and tasks.
