Summary
The successful candidate will support maintenance activities and perform maintenance on a number of aircraft based in Mississauga, ON.
Responsibilities
- Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with all manufacturer and company recommendations and regulations.
- Communicate with the dispatcher/operations to obtain flight information and changes.
- Inspect aircraft condition and inform management of any potential downtime impacting flight schedules.
- Evaluate service bulletins, airworthiness directives, service letters and SILs.
- Prepare estimates for future maintenance for review by the maintenance production manager; perform daily inspections and pre- and post-flight activities to ensure aircraft airworthiness and on-time departures.
- Complete all work order entries in a timely manner; participate in scheduled heavy maintenance.
- Provide AOG support when necessary; ensure approved equipment and materials are used and a high level of workmanship is maintained.
- Generate maintenance task cards in preparation for maintenance activities.
- Support the maintenance production manager with administrative activities; travel by aircraft as required.
- Participate in hangar activities such as aircraft movements, equipment maintenance and facility maintenance (6S, health and safety, etc.).
- Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance production manager, maintenance director or other management.
Requirements
- Have successfully passed all Transport Canada exams.
- Hold a valid AME licence.
- Be available to work as needed during major projects.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Computer skills to query and download information from aircraft and their engines using a laptop.
- Previous experience in business aviation.
