What will your daily life be like?
- Work from instructions, service request forms, and established processes for preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance, and all types of mechanical repair work on various equipment or machinery.
- Install and assemble equipment according to operational needs.
- Propose and carry out modifications for upgrading various equipment and machinery.
- Perform diagnostics to identify the source of the problem, disassemble equipment down to defective parts, and maintain integrity.
- Research the repetitive cause of failures or breakdowns and recommend effective corrective methods.
- Determine the location and arrangement of equipment.
- Estimate the scope of tasks and the material required to perform repairs or replacements and organize work in collaboration with other trades.
- Install, replace, repair, adjust, and align parts of various equipment and machinery such as; machine tools, pneumatic tools, pumps, blowers, frame, and external components of ventilation and filtration systems on machines.
- Use different types of welding, adjust and operate different types of machine tools to manufacture equipment parts.
- Test devices and ensure their performance according to their specifications and operational needs.
- Maintain, repair, modify, install, test, and diagnose mechanical problems of numerically controlled machines and other equipment.
- Use appropriate tools and equipment to check parameters, adjustment, and calibration to ensure proper operation.
- Identify, research, and prepare the order or shipment of spare parts, ready-to-assemble kits, and repairable components necessary for the execution of work.
- Receive, move material, parts, and other equipment to designated locations.
- Operate various mobile equipment and motorized vehicles such as forklifts and work platforms.
- Ensure the appropriate securing of the work perimeter in addition to locking out equipment according to established procedures.
What you need to succeed
- Holder of a DEP in industrial mechanics
- Expertise in predictive analysis equipment and machine condition monitoring
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mind
- Proficiency in reading mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic plans
- Interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude
- Familiarity with computer systems, Windows operating system, and Microsoft suite
- Good manual skills and good manual dexterity
- Good visual and auditory acuity
- Rigor, meticulousness, precision, and attention to detail
- Sense of observation and initiative.
- Ability to adapt to numerous technological changes
- This position is in a French-speaking work environment, however, it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may come from international organizations.
