What will your daily routine look like?

• Work from instructions, service request sheets, and established processes for preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance, and all kinds of mechanical repair work on various equipment or machinery.
• Install and assemble equipment according to operational needs.
• Propose and perform modifications to upgrade various equipment and machinery.
• Perform diagnostics to identify the source of the problem, disassemble equipment down to defective parts while maintaining its integrity.
• Investigate the repetitive cause of breakdowns or failures and recommend effective corrective methods.
• Determine the location and layout of equipment.
• Estimate the scope of tasks and the material required to perform repairs or replacements and organize work in collaboration with other trades.
• Install, replace, repair, adjust, and align parts of various equipment and machinery such as machine tools, pneumatic tools, pumps, blowers, armatures, and external components of ventilation and filtration systems on machines.
• Use different types of welding, rulers, and conduit, and operate different types of machine tools to manufacture equipment parts.
• Test devices and ensure their performance according to specifications and operational needs.
• Maintain, repair, modify, install, test, and diagnose mechanical problems on CNC machines and other equipment.
• Use appropriate tools and equipment to check parameters, adjustments, and calibration to ensure proper operation.
• Identify, research, and prepare orders or shipments for spare parts, ready-to-assemble kits, and repairable components necessary to carry out the work.
• Receive, move materials, parts, and other equipment to designated locations.
• Drive various mobile equipment and motorized vehicles such as forklifts and work platforms.
• Ensure that the work perimeter is properly secured and perform equipment lockout according to established procedures.

What you need to succeed

• Holder of a DEP in industrial mechanics
• Expertise in predictive analysis equipment and machine condition monitoring
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Mastery of reading mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings
• Interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude
• Familiarity with computer systems, Windows operating system, and the Microsoft suite
• Good manual skills and good manual dexterity
• Good visual and auditory acuity
• Rigor, thoroughness, precision, and attention to detail
• Sense of observation and initiative
• Ability to adapt to numerous technological changes
• This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, however, it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may originate from international organizations.
