We are looking for a heavy vehicle mechanic specialized in In-Service Support (ISS) to contribute to the operational maintenance of military vehicles and specialized equipment.
Your role — ISS Mission
You will ensure the maintenance, reliability, and performance of military vehicles and specialized equipment throughout their lifecycle. You will directly contribute to the operational availability of systems and the continuous improvement of maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
Maintenance and technical support
- Perform technical work on military heavy trucks, specialized equipment, and components
- Diagnose, inspect, and repair systems according to military standards and specifications
- Ensure the operational maintenance of equipment (MCO)
- Perform road tests and performance validations
- Perform preventive and corrective inspections
Logistics support and lifecycle management
- Participate in handling, logistics, and inventory management activities
- Contribute to configuration management and equipment traceability
- Participate in receiving, shipping, and tracking parts
- Contribute to the maintenance of technical documentation and intervention reports
Continuous improvement and collaboration
- Participate in maintenance and support process improvement projects
- Document technical analyses and recommendations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, logistics, operations)
- Participate in training and knowledge transfer activities
Education and experience
- DEP in heavy vehicle or construction machinery mechanics (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in heavy vehicle mechanics
- Experience in a military environment or specialized fleet (e.g., Renault Kerax) — major asset
- Class 3 driver's license — asset
