Responsibilities

• Determines the method for repairing equipment by referring to appropriate documents such as blueprints, diagrams, requests, work instructions, etc. Repairs include mechanical, hydraulic, and welding work (various processes) but exclude electrical repairs.
• Diagnoses equipment problems according to known methods and manufacturer manuals.
• Performs repairs on equipment, buildings, and tools to meet manufacturer specifications. Checks operations during and at the end of the process and makes necessary adjustments to ensure the repair meets required standards.
• Installs new equipment according to requested specifications.
• Carries out maintenance operations on equipment and buildings, which include periodic equipment inspection, systematic replacement of parts or components, repair, and restart after a breakdown according to a predetermined schedule.
• Repairs small mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric tools according to specifications.
• Recommends modifications to equipment to optimize efficiency (e.g., cost, delay, reliability, safety) and implements these modifications.
• Obtains necessary materials according to work instructions.
• Cleans the work environment and repaired equipment.
• Acts as the first responder on site during environmental and fire emergencies. Determines the method to control the situation according to work instructions and carries out, with the help of employees as needed, tasks necessary to restore the situation and fully correct the emergency.
• Must be reachable at all times during working hours by the communication means (e.g., pager, phone) provided to perform intervention work.
• Completes documents necessary for the work.
• Trains employees on work-related activities at the request of the immediate supervisor.

Profile sought

• DEP in industrial construction and maintenance mechanics and one year of industrial mechanics experience.
  or
• DEC in maintenance analysis and welding courses and six months of experience.
  or
• CEP in industrial mechanics and one year of experience.
  or
• ACE in industrial mechanics and one year of experience.
  or
• DEP in automated system electromechanics and 1 year of mechanics experience
