Responsibilities
- Install and repair mechanical components;
- Perform functional tests and adjustments on aircraft systems;
- Inspect and maintain mechanical systems (e.g., hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, air conditioning, doors, landing gear, flight control, etc.);
- Prepare aircraft for flights ("refueling", daily inspection);
- Participate in engine and APU (auxiliary power unit) tests;
- Perform modifications according to service bulletins while respecting industry standards;
- May be required to work in a noisy environment and in the presence of dust;
- Participate in the continuous improvement program (SAE);
- Perform all other related tasks.
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma (D.E.C.) or (A.E.C.) in aircraft maintenance or an equivalent diploma in aircraft maintenance recognized by the Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés Culturelles (MICC).
- An AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) license class M2 (B1), or FAA (strongly considered asset).
- You have five (5) years of experience as an aircraft maintenance mechanic.
- You are skilled at reading technical drawings and maintenance manuals;
- You are flexible with regard to shifts.
- Bilingualism (French - English) speaking and writing is an important asset for communication in the client site's multilingual environment and technical documentation.
