Responsibilities
- Install and repair mechanical components
- Perform functional tests and adjustments on aircraft systems
- Inspect and maintain mechanical systems (e.g., hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, air conditioning, doors, landing gear, flight control, etc.)
- Prepare aircraft for flights (refueling, daily inspection)
- Participate in engine and APU (auxiliary power unit) tests
- Perform modifications according to service bulletins while complying with industry standards
- May be required to work in noisy and dusty environments
- Participate in the continuous improvement program (SAE)
- Perform other related duties
Skills and Qualifications
- DEC or AEC diploma in aircraft maintenance or an equivalent aircraft maintenance diploma recognized by the Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés Culturelles (MICC)
- TEA (AME) licence class M2 (B1), or FAA (strong asset)
- Five (5) years of experience as an aircraft maintenance mechanic
- Able to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals
- Flexible regarding shift work
- Bilingualism (French - English) oral and written is an important asset for communication in the client's multilingual environment and for technical documentation
