Responsibilities
- Install and repair mechanical components;
- Perform functional tests and adjustments on aircraft systems;
- Inspect and maintain mechanical systems (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel, air conditioning, doors, landing gear, flight controls, etc.);
- Prepare aircraft for flights (refueling, daily inspection);
- Participate in engine and APU (auxiliary power unit) tests;
- Carry out modifications according to service bulletins while complying with industry standards;
- May be required to work in a noisy and dusty environment;
- Participate in the continuous improvement program (SAE);
- Perform other related duties as required.
Skills and qualifications
- DEC or AEC diploma in aircraft maintenance or an equivalent aircraft maintenance diploma recognized by the Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés Culturelles (MICC).
- TEA (AME) license class M2 (B1), or FAA (strong asset).
- Five (5) years of experience as an aircraft maintenance mechanic.
- Able to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals;
- Flexible regarding work shifts.
- Bilingualism (French–English) in speaking and writing is an important asset for communication in the client's multilingual site and technical documentation.
