Job description

Are you passionate about aviation and known for your technical rigor? AAA Canada is looking for several Pre-Flight Mechanics (AME) to join its dynamic team. In this key role, you will contribute directly to the safety, performance and compliance of aircraft, while working in a stimulating environment focused on excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Install and repair mechanical components;
  • Perform functional tests and adjustments on aircraft systems;
  • Inspect and maintain mechanical systems (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel, air conditioning, doors, landing gear, flight controls, etc.);
  • Prepare aircraft for flights (refueling, daily inspection);
  • Participate in engine and APU (auxiliary power unit) tests;
  • Carry out modifications according to service bulletins while complying with industry standards;
  • May be required to work in a noisy and dusty environment;
  • Participate in the continuous improvement program (SAE);
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Skills and qualifications

  • DEC or AEC diploma in aircraft maintenance or an equivalent aircraft maintenance diploma recognized by the Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés Culturelles (MICC).
  • TEA (AME) license class M2 (B1), or FAA (strong asset).
  • Five (5) years of experience as an aircraft maintenance mechanic.
  • Able to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals;
  • Flexible regarding work shifts.
  • Bilingualism (French–English) in speaking and writing is an important asset for communication in the client's multilingual site and technical documentation.
