Preflight Mechanic

Responsibilities:

• System Integration: working on integrating various systems into the aircraft structure. This includes installing and connecting avionics, hydraulics, fuel systems, environmental control systems, landing gear, and other critical components.

• Functional Testing: Conduct functional tests on installed systems to verify that they operate correctly. This involves using test equipment to check electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, ensuring that they meet design specifications and safety standards.

• Quality Control: Perform detailed inspections to ensure that all systems are installed correctly and meet the manufacturer's quality standards. This includes checking for proper torque on fasteners for mechanical components and flight controls, correct alignment of components, and adherence to engineering drawings.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of the installation and testing processes.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other teams involved in the assembly process, including airframe mechanics, engine installers, and quality control inspectors.

• Problem Resolution: Identify and address any issues or discrepancies that arise during the assembly process.

• Compliance with Standards: Ensure that all assembly activities adhere to aviation regulations and industry standards.

• Adherence to Schedule: Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• License M1/M2/FAA A&P an asset, or on the way to obtain them

• 3 years minimum experience in Aviation Production or equivalent required.

• License preferred - systems experience required if not

• Completed vocational training (Mechanics/Systems). (Preferred)

• 5+ years hands-on experience in Aviation Production. (Preferred)
