Compensation

The starting salary range for this position is $21.09 to $34.35 per hour, commensurate with skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training, time, and career progression, hourly compensation may increase to a maximum of $45.48. Employees working the second shift receive an additional shift premium of $1.15 per hour. This position is also eligible for overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work with others to make suggestions and improve procedures
  • Follow manufacturer's instructions for cleaning aircraft engine components
  • Mechanical and chemical cleaning, sandblasting of aeronautical parts
  • Check output for consistency with specifications and eliminate defects
  • Transport parts, components or modules between workstations or centers as required
  • Lift parts up to 20 pounds as required
  • May be required to work in another category

Qualifications

  • Experience in the aeronautical field / manufacturing industry an asset
  • Ability to read and understand instructions in English
  • Be autonomous, able to work without supervision
  • Be meticulous and organized
  • Be able to work with and manipulate chemical solutions

Language Requirements in Quebec

Intermediate level knowledge of English is necessary for aeronautical personnel to meet regulatory requirements, understand technical procedures and instructions, and document entries regarding work performed on the aeronautical product for customers outside Quebec.
