Safran Landing Systems (Safran Systèmes d'Atterrissage) is a global leader in aircraft landing and braking systems. The Mirabel plant manufactures major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330 and A350 models and the Boeing 787. The facility uses state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing and special processes such as heat treatment, shot blasting and surface treatments.

Responsibilities

You will carry out various metallurgical process operations on landing gear components. Specifically, you will be asked to:

  • prepare and perform assembly of parts
  • perform heat treatment or shot blasting operations
  • conduct laboratory tests (hardness, tensile, saturation)
  • perform nondestructive testing inspections (magnetoscopy)
  • detect and resolve technical issues
  • perform visual inspections to ensure compliance with specifications
  • complete appropriate quality assurance documentation
  • contribute to continuous improvement and to meeting safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery objectives

Benefits

Night shift, Monday to Friday from 00:10 to 06:40. Note: depending on collective agreement rules, the position may change shift (evening, night or weekend).

Profile / Requirements

  • College studies in metallurgy (DEC or AEC) or DEP in foundry, DEP in mechanical assembly in aerospace or aerospace structural assembly, DEP in welding-assembly, or equivalent experience as a metallurgy operator
  • Experience in metallurgy
