Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a global leader in aircraft landing and braking systems. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

You will perform various operations related to metallurgical processes on landing gear components.

More specifically, you will be called upon to:

  • prepare and set up parts,
  • perform heat treatment or shot peening operations,
  • conduct laboratory tests (hardness, tensile, saturation),
  • perform non-destructive testing inspections (magnetic particle testing),
  • detect and resolve technical problems,
  • perform visual inspection to ensure compliance with specifications,
  • complete appropriate quality assurance documentation,
  • contribute to the continuous improvement of operations and the achievement of objectives in terms of safety, quality, costs, and on-time delivery.

Night shift, Monday to Friday from 12:10 AM to 6:40 AM

Note: Depending on collective agreement rules, the position may change shifts (evening, night, or weekend)

The compensation for this position starts between $31.18 and $45.12 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training and your progression in acquiring job-related skills, the hourly wage will increase up to a maximum of $48.97.

Shift premium of $1.00/hr

College studies in metallurgy (DEC or AEC) or DEP in foundry, DEP in aerospace mechanical assembly or aerospace structure assembly, DEP in welding-assembly, or equivalent experience as a metallurgy operator
