Job description

Safran Landing Systems (Safran Systèmes d'Atterrissage) is a global leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant manufactures major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330 and A350 models and the Boeing 787. The site features advanced equipment for machining, polishing and special processes such as heat treatment, shot blasting and surface treatments.

The role consists of performing plating operations (chrome, zinc-nickel and nickel) by electrodeposition using anodes, fixtures, anode cages, baths, chemical solutions and related techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Install and adjust the anode cage or anodes on the part.
  • Perform electroplating operations using plating or rinse chemical baths in accordance with procedures.
  • Monitor parameters (amperage, duration, etc.).
  • Place parts in the stress‑relief oven and program the heating cycle.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as required.
  • Inspect parts to ensure compliance with specifications and take corrective actions if abnormalities are detected.
  • Organize work and schedule tasks according to instructions and processing priorities.
  • Consult technical documents on the computer (working drawings, operation sheets, procedures) and complete quality assurance documentation as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of operations and to meeting safety, quality, cost and on‑time delivery objectives.

Benefits

Evening shift: Monday to Thursday, 14:20 to 00:20.
Note: Depending on collective agreement rules, the shift may change (evening, night or weekend).

Requirements

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (D.E.P) in surface treatment, aircraft mechanical assembly, aircraft structure assembly, aircraft circuit assembly, welding‑assembly or composite materials.
  • Minimum two years of aerospace experience.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Basic computer skills.
