Safran Landing Systems (Safran Systèmes d'Atterrissage) is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, the global leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant manufactures major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330 and A350 models, and the Boeing 787. The facility is equipped with state‑of‑the‑art machining, polishing and special process equipment, including heat treatment, shot peening and surface treatments.
The position consists of cleaning part surfaces by sandblasting either to remove the oxide layer produced during heat treatment before subsequent machining operations or to prepare parts prior to plating to ensure good adhesion.
Responsibilities
Key tasks include:
- moving parts using lifting equipment
- mounting the part on a fixture and preparing it by installing masks or tooling according to the technical drawing
- performing sandblasting operations using robot‑equipped equipment in accordance with technical procedures
- completing part blasting with specialized manual equipment while respecting parameters
- inspecting parts to ensure compliance with specifications
- completing the appropriate quality assurance documentation
- performing daily basic maintenance on equipment
- conducting sand analyses (particle size)
- contributing to continuous improvement of operations and achieving safety, quality and cost objectives

Night shift: 00:10 to 06:40. Note: depending on collective agreement rules, the shift may change (day, evening or weekend).
- Starting pay for this role ranges from $26.91 to $36.59 per hour depending on skills, experience and qualifications. With internal training and progression, hourly pay can increase up to a maximum of $40.62.

About you (requirements)
High school diploma (equivalency certificate not accepted)
- Hands‑on manufacturing experience
- Ability to work with attention to detail and precision
- Experience with automated equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Rigour
- Organizational skills / priority management
- Autonomy
- Ability to work encapsulated (full‑body suit including a helmet with oxygen inlet)
- Tool handling requires physical strength
