Safran Landing Systems is a global leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant manufactures major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330, A350 and Boeing 787 models. The site uses state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening and surface treatments.

The role consists of performing chrome, zinc-nickel and nickel plating by electro-deposition using anodes, fixtures, anode cages, tanks, chemical solutions and related techniques.

Main responsibilities

  • Install and adjust the anode cage or anodes on the part
  • Perform electro-plating operations using plating and rinsing tanks according to procedures
  • Monitor parameters (amperage, duration, etc.)
  • Place parts in the stress-relief oven and program the heating cycle
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as required
  • Inspect parts to ensure compliance with specifications and take corrective actions if abnormalities are detected
  • Organize and prioritize work according to instructions and production needs
  • Consult technical documents on the computer (work drawings, operation sheets, procedures) and complete quality assurance documentation as needed
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and to meeting safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery objectives

Additional information / Benefits

Shift: Evening shift: Monday to Thursday, 14:20 to 00:20. Note: depending on collective agreement rules, the position may change shifts (day, night or weekend).

  • Hourly pay: from CA$30.13 to CA$43.60 depending on skills, experience and qualifications; with internal training and progression, pay can increase up to CA$47.32/h
  • Shift premium: CA$1.30/h

About you / Requirements

Requirements:

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (D.E.P) in surface treatment, aircraft mechanical assembly, aircraft structure assembly, aircraft circuit assembly-wiring, welding-assembly or composite materials
  • Minimum two years' experience in aerospace
  • Manual dexterity
  • Basic computer skills
  • Observation skills and analytical mindset
  • Attention to detail / rigor
  • Organizational skills / ability to manage priorities
  • Autonomy
  • Results-oriented
