Safran Landing Systems is a global leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to manufacturing major landing gear components for the Airbus A320, A330 and A350 models, and the Boeing 787. The site is equipped with state-of-the-art machining, polishing and special process equipment, including heat treatment, blasting and surface treatment processes.

The role consists of performing chrome, zinc-nickel and nickel plating operations by electro-deposition using anodes, forms, anode cages, baths, chemical solutions and other techniques.

Main tasks include:

  • Install and adjust the anode cage or anodes on the part
  • Perform electroplating operations using plating or rinsing solution baths, in accordance with procedures
  • Monitor parameters (amperage, duration, etc.)
  • Place parts in the stress‑relief oven and program the heating cycle
  • Troubleshoot technical issues when necessary
  • Inspect parts to ensure compliance with specifications and take corrective action if abnormalities are detected
  • Organize work and schedule tasks according to instructions on priority parts to be processed
  • Consult technical documents on the computer such as drawings, operation sheets and procedures, and, when necessary, complete the appropriate quality assurance documentation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of operations and achievement of safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery objectives

  • Evening shift: Monday to Thursday from 2:20 PM to 12:20 AM
  • Note: Depending on collective agreement rules, the position may change shift (day, night or weekend)
  • Compensation for this position starts between $30.13 and $43.60 per hour, depending on your skills, experience and qualifications. With internal training and progression in job‑related skills, the hourly rate can increase up to a maximum of $47.32
  • Premium of $1.30/hr

About you

Requirements:

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (D.E.P) in surface treatment, aerospace mechanical assembly, aircraft structure assembly, aircraft circuit assembly/wiring, welding-assembly or composite materials
  • Minimum two years of experience in aerospace
