Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a global aerospace leader based in Longueuil, Quebec. We manufacture next-generation engines that power the largest fleet of airplanes and helicopters in the world in the business aviation, general aviation, and regional aviation segments.

In nearly 100 years, we have made numerous breakthroughs in the development of engines that transport goods and equipment, fight forest fires, and transport passengers.

What your day-to-day will look like

• Perform operational tasks ranging from simple to complex to manufacture, modify, and repair a wide variety of tools and gauges with varying shapes and geometries.
• Work from drawings, photos, sketches, and verbal instructions regarding methods and equipment to use in order to set up, operate, and adjust conventional or CNC machine tools to machine and repair new and used jigs and gauges.
• Plan work to be performed by machinists on different types of machines.
• Manufacture molds, mix and cast products.
• Perform dimensional and visual checks on parts using precision measuring instruments. Keep appropriate records up to date.
• Maintain inventories of critical details for the repair of gauges and jigs.
• Participate in the development of new tools to meet customer needs.
• Participate in solving issues encountered on production lines by improving tooling in concert with planners and designers.
• Wash, preserve, package, and move parts while ensuring standards and specifications are met.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure, among other things, fluid levels are adequate, filters are clean, and the general condition of the machine complies with the checklist.
• Participate in training and share knowledge with teammates.
• Organize and maintain his workstation and respect our high standard of health and safety at work at all times.

• DEP in machining techniques
• ASP in computer numerical control machine tools or ASP in tooling
