What your daily routine will look like

• Perform operational tasks ranging from simple to complex to manufacture, modify and repair a wide variety of tools and gauges with varying shapes and geometries.
• Work from drawings, photos, sketches and verbal instructions regarding methods and equipment to be used to set up, operate and adjust conventional or CNC machine tools to machine and repair new and used jigs and gauges.
• Plan work to be performed by machinists on various types of machines.
• Manufacture molds, mix and cast products.
• Perform dimensional and visual checks on parts using precision measuring instruments. Keep appropriate records up to date.
• Maintain inventories of critical details for the repair of gauges and jigs.
• Participate in the development of new tools to meet customer needs.
• Participate in solving problems encountered on production lines by improving tooling in conjunction with planners and designers.
• Wash, preserve, package and move parts ensuring standards and specifications are met.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure, among other things, that fluid levels are adequate, filters are clean and the general condition of the machine complies with the checklist.
• Participate in training and share knowledge with teammates.
• Organize and maintain his workstation in order and respect our high health and safety standard at all times.

• This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations.

Education

• DEP in machining technique;
• ASP CNC machine tool or ASP Tooling

Asset

• Knowledge of Catia software
