As a toolmaker, you play a key role in the manufacturing, adjustment, and maintenance of tooling used for the production of high-precision parts for the aerospace industry. Main responsibilities

Manufacture tools, jigs, fixtures, and setups according to specifications.

Read and interpret plans and technical drawings.

Machine tooling parts on conventional and CNC machines (lathe, milling machine, grinder).
Adjust, assemble, and test tooling to ensure proper functioning.

Diagnose problems on existing tooling.
Repair, modify, or improve production tools and devices.
Perform preventive maintenance on tooling.

Verify the dimensional and functional compliance of manufactured tools.
Use precision measuring instruments (micrometer, vernier, comparator, etc.).

Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production technicians.
Quickly adjust tools in case of production problems.

Propose improvements to optimize part manufacturing.

Complete technical documents (sheets, reports, PCD, etc.).
Comply with health and safety standards and quality standards (e.g., aeronautics).

Skills and qualifications

D.E.P. in machining techniques or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in numerical control (CNC) or on conventional machines.

Deburring skills, a considerable asset.

Knowledge of occupational health and safety rules, particularly WHMIS.

Good level of French, both oral and written, mandatory.
