About the project

As a toolmaker, you play a key role in the manufacturing, adjustment, and maintenance of tooling used for the production of high-precision parts intended for the aeronautical industry. Responsibilities

• Manufacture tools, jigs, mounts, and fixtures according to specifications.
• Read and interpret technical plans and drawings.
• Machine tooling parts on conventional and CNC machines (lathe, milling machine, grinder).
  Adjust, assemble, and test tooling to ensure proper functioning.
• Diagnose problems on existing tooling.
  Repair, modify, or improve production tools and devices.
  Perform preventive maintenance on tooling.
• Verify the dimensional and functional conformity of manufactured tools.
  Use precision measuring instruments (micrometer, caliper, comparator, etc.).
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production technicians.
  Quickly adjust tools in case of production problems.
• Propose improvements to optimize part manufacturing.
• Complete technical documents (sheets, reports, PCD, etc.).
  Comply with health and safety standards and quality standards (e.g., aeronautics).

Skills and qualifications

• D.E.P. in machining techniques or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in numerical control (CNC) or on conventional machines.
• Deburring skills, a considerable asset.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety rules, particularly WHMIS.
• Good level of French, both oral and written, mandatory.
