As a toolmaker, you play a key role in the manufacturing, adjustment, and maintenance of tooling used for the production of high-precision parts intended for the aerospace industry. Fabricate tools, gauges, jigs, and fixtures according to specifications.

Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Machine tooling parts on conventional and CNC machines (lathe, milling machine, grinder).

Adjust, assemble, and test tooling to ensure proper operation.

Diagnose problems on existing tooling.

Repair, modify, or improve production tools and devices.

Perform preventive maintenance on tooling.

Verify the dimensional and functional conformity of manufactured tools.

Use precision measuring instruments (micrometer, vernier, comparator, etc.).

Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production technicians.

Quickly adjust tools in case of production issues.

Propose improvements to optimize part manufacturing.

Complete technical documents (sheets, reports, PCD, etc.).

Respect health and safety standards and quality standards (e.g., aerospace).

D.E.P. in machining techniques or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in numerical control (CNC) or on conventional machines.

Deburring competence, constituting a considerable asset.

Knowledge of occupational health and safety rules, notably WHMIS.

Good level of French, both oral and written, mandatory.
