Job Description

Main Responsibilities

Read and interpret technical plans, engineering drawings, and 3D models
Manufacture jigs, fixtures, cutting tools, and positioning devices
Machine parts on conventional and CNC machines (lathe, milling machine, grinder)
Perform assembly, precision adjustment, and functional tests
Repair and modify existing tooling according to production needs
Ensure preventive maintenance of tools and equipment
Comply with tight tolerances and aeronautical standards
Apply SST rules and quality procedures (AS9100, ISO)
Participate in continuous process improvement

Requirements

Desired Profile

DEP in machining techniques, tooling, or equivalent training
Experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace is a major asset)
Proficiency in reading complex plans
Good knowledge of geometric tolerances (GD&T)
Ability to work with materials such as aluminum, steel, titanium
Rigor, precision, and autonomy
Team spirit and ability to solve technical problems

Technical Skills

Conventional and CNC machining
Precision adjustment
Metrology (micrometer, comparator, CMM)
Knowledge of aeronautical processes (structure assembly, composite – an asset)

Toolmaker
