Main Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical plans, engineering drawings, and 3D models

  • Manufacture jigs, fixtures, cutting tools, and positioning devices

  • Machine parts on conventional and CNC machines (lathe, milling machine, grinder)

  • Perform assembly, precision adjustment, and functional testing

  • Repair and modify existing tooling as needed for production

  • Ensure preventive maintenance of tools and equipment

  • Respect tight tolerances and aerospace standards

  • Apply SST rules and quality procedures (AS9100, ISO)

  • Participate in continuous process improvement

Requirements

Desired profile

  • DEP in machining techniques, tooling, or equivalent training

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace a major asset)

  • Proficiency in reading complex plans

  • Good knowledge of geometric tolerances (GD&T)

  • Ability to work with materials such as aluminum, steel, titanium

  • Rigour, precision, and autonomy

  • Team spirit and ability to solve technical problems

Technical skills

  • Conventional and CNC machining

  • Precision adjustment

  • Metrology (micrometer, comparator, CMM)

  • Knowledge of aerospace processes (structural assembly, composite – an asset)
