We are looking for a dynamic person to join our team as a Crew Support Specialist. In this role, you will play a key part in the proper management of our crews by providing general administrative support and coordinating training with external providers. You will bring innovation, strategic thinking, adaptability and a service-oriented heart to improve our crew support and training programs.
Summary of duties
As a Human Resources Associate, you play a key role in executing HR strategies related to operational goals that strengthen employee engagement and promote a positive culture. This role combines strategic planning with practical application to deliver high-impact HR solutions in close partnership with assigned client group leaders, providing expert advice on all HR matters and initiatives. The role requires a dynamic individual who combines strategic and critical thinking with a hands-on approach to implement HR strategies, goals and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing HR insights and guidance to support strategic decisions and operational objectives.
- Collaborate with client group leaders and employees and support them on all HR matters.
- Lead key strategic HR initiatives defined in the company's objectives using strong management skills.
- Drive organizational development by working with leaders to assess and improve structures, roles and methods, ensuring alignment with business objectives and promoting long-term efficiency.
- Understand the company's needs and challenges to better design and deliver solutions that drive positive outcomes.
- Oversee and collaborate with leaders on annual talent management initiatives, such as performance reviews and succession planning, helping leaders identify high-potential employees and successors for key roles.
- Effectively advise people managers on performance management issues, such as development plans and performance improvement plans.
- Work with managers on complex employee relations matters and provide guidance on interpreting and applying employment legislation and company policies to mitigate potential risks.
- Manage disability cases involving short- or long-term disability benefits (CAT/CNESST/CSPAAT).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executives and employees at all levels to efficiently achieve HR plan and strategy objectives.
- Use HR data and analytics to identify trends and generate actionable ideas; prepare data-driven presentations when required.
Qualifications and skills
- At least 8 years of progressive human resources experience, including at least 5 years delivering strategic HR solutions in client-facing HR associate roles.
- Post-secondary diploma in human resources.
- Designation as a Chartered Human Resources Professional (CRHA) or Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP/CHRL) is considered an asset.
- Bilingualism in English and French (spoken and written) is required.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement by implementing scalable HR solutions that meet current and future business objectives.
- Strong functional knowledge of all aspects of HR practices, policies and programs.
- Deep understanding of employment legislation, including the Canada Labour Code, and experience working in a federally regulated environment. Experience working in fast-paced dynamic environments and the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.
- Energetic and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Critical thinking ability with exceptional problem-solving and solution-implementation skills.
- Strong project and time management skills, excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships; proven ability to coach leaders and resolve conflicts, and to establish credibility and gain trust at all levels of the organization.
- Advanced computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience with ADP WorkForce Now or Jobvite is considered an asset.
