The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Materials Purchasing Planner to join our Maintenance team, based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work closely with the rest of the plant group to ensure the smooth running of procurement activities.
You will be part of the Infrastructure and Industrial Maintenance team responsible for carrying out procurement and purchase tracking activities for the entire Maintenance organization. The team's organization is established in a way to promote cross-functional collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
Your role as a Materials Purchasing Planner will be to procure the raw materials necessary to carry out maintenance, repair, and site management tasks, while optimizing inventory management.
Your challenges:
- Prepare precise purchase requests according to department needs (items, quantities, and specifications).
- Maintain a rigorous register of purchases and contracts to facilitate tracking and audits.
- Support the negotiation of prices and contractual conditions with suppliers.
- Monitor the delivery of goods to guarantee on-time receipt and resolve delays.
- Collaborate with the store to monitor stock levels and avoid shortages or surpluses.
- Track tools sent for calibration according to established procedures.
- Provide regular reports on purchasing activities, budget compliance, and supplier performance.
Your profile:
- High School Diploma (DES).
- Demonstrate experience in similar procurement or planning functions.
- Mastery of the MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of a maintenance management software (e.g., Maximo) and the Google suite (assets).
- Excellent organizational and priority management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure in a demanding environment.
- Great attention to detail and strong observation skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with several internal and external stakeholders.
