The incumbent is responsible for production planning, tracking delivery schedules, and coordinating work activities with production teams, in accordance with established procedures.
The successful candidate possesses excellent planning, organization, and priority management skills. They are able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and are results-oriented.
Your main role
Plan the production of certain cells in our plant to ensure compliance with schedules and operational efficiency.
Job responsibilities
- Understand interdependencies within the manufacturing environment as well as those with other groups.
- Identify and optimize cell bottlenecks to ensure compliance with the overall production plan and schedules.
- Perform daily tracking of scheduling plans and make necessary adjustments.
- Act as a resource person for customer service, engineering, project management, and manufacturing cells.
- Formulate recommendations regarding staffing adjustments or production balancing based on the horizontal plan (workload vs. capacity).
- Analyze the availability of material inputs to adjust the workload release plan and collaborate with the purchasing department to mitigate impacts on the production plan.
- Analyze new master plan requirements and make necessary modifications.
- Work closely with engineering groups and project planners to meet deadlines.
- Promote clear communication between parties and ensure follow-ups.
Your profile
- A relevant bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or administration.
- At least three years of relevant experience or training in the field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to define problems, gather information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to understand different assembly sequences and identify bottlenecks.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational sense.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Team spirit and good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various groups, colleagues, and internal clients.
- Ability to provide support to clients and clearly present information to various stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Bilingualism (French and English) required.
- Ability to generate reports from databases using SQL, VBA, Power Query (M language), Power BI (not required, but an asset).
- Familiarity with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, preferably Oracle.
