The A220 Commercial Aircraft Program is seeking Material Planners to join our Material Planning team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada). In this role, you will leverage your expertise right at the heart of our Pre-FAL (Final Assembly Line) operations.

As part of the Work and Material Planning team, you will be responsible for setting up daily production plans, following up with various internal and external stakeholders (production teams and suppliers), and ensuring parts are delivered to the line at the right time. Our team structure promotes cross-functional collaboration and autonomy through mutual support and collective learning.

Your role as a Material Planner will be to align the cross-functional team around a shared plan by prioritizing and coordinating work orders and part deliveries.

Your challenges:

  • Ensure supply availability at work stations (parts, major components, work instructions) in strict compliance with the integrated plan;

  • Define part delivery priorities in close collaboration with the Work Planner (WP);

  • Ensure inventory visibility by providing Estimated Coverage Dates (ECD) for all parts under your responsibility;

  • Collaborate with the Supply Officer on coverage charts;

  • Execute supply planning transactions directly within the SAP system;

  • Manage the cannibalization process by acting as the gatekeeper and approver for requests;

  • Communicate priorities to the Supply Officer team based on the manufacturing plan and urgent needs;

  • Manage alerts and escalate critical issues in a timely manner to supervisors, managers, and directors;

  • Analyze material overconsumption and actively validate identified discrepancies;

  • Drive continuous improvement by taking ownership of task and service optimizations within your scope;

  • Act as the primary point of contact within the core team for all missing parts within your perimeter;

  • Support ANDON alerts upon request from the Work Planner (WP);

  • Actively participate in AOS (Airbus Operating System) routines as required;

  • Support expediting efforts for consumables and the Kanban system during issue escalations.

Your boarding pass:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations and Logistics Management, or a College Diploma (DEC) with equivalent experience;

  • You have two to five years of relevant experience in logistics or production planning;

  • You have relevant experience in the automotive or aerospace industry (an asset);

  • You have a strong interest in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles;

  • You have a good command of written and spoken French and English (an asset);

  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project);

  • You are proficient with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Slides);

  • You have hands-on experience with SAP (an asset).
