Job Description

The role we offer: The incumbent is responsible for production planning, supporting on‑time delivery and coordinating the organization of work in collaboration with production, in accordance with the cell's policies and procedures. He or she demonstrates excellent stress management and can work under pressure with tight deadlines. The person shows strong analytical skills, good organizational sense and solid planning and coordination abilities. They are also ready to contribute to the cell's strategic decisions and are results‑ and productivity‑oriented through effective priority management.

Your role will be to plan the production for certain cells within our plant.

Specifically:

  • Understand interdependencies within the manufacturing environment and with other groups.
  • Identify and optimize cell bottlenecks to ensure adherence to the overall production plan.
  • Monitor daily scheduling plans and make necessary adjustments.
  • Act as a point of contact for customer service, engineering, project management and manufacturing cells.
  • Make recommendations regarding staffing adjustments or production leveling according to the horizontal plan (workload vs capacity).
  • Analyze material and input availability to adjust the production launch plan accordingly and collaborate with purchasing to mitigate impacts on the production plan.
  • Analyze new master plan requirements and implement necessary changes.
  • Work closely with engineering teams and project planners to meet deadlines.
  • Foster clear communication between parties and ensure follow‑ups.

Your Profile

  • Relevant bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or business administration.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience or training in the field.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to define problems, gather relevant information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to understand different assembly sequences and identify bottlenecks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Team spirit and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different groups, colleagues and internal clients.
  • Ability to support clients and present information clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high‑pressure environment.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is required.

Additional skills considered an asset:

  • Ability to generate reports from databases using SQL, VBA, Power Query (M) or Power BI. This skill is not mandatory but is a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with an integrated management system (ERP), preferably Oracle.
