The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for work and materials planners to join our Materials and Work Planning (PMT) team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will use your skills by being at the heart of the Final Assembly Line (FAL) operations.

You will be part of the Work and Materials Planning team responsible for setting up daily production plans, following up with different teams (production and suppliers) and ensuring on-time delivery of parts to the line.

The team's organization is designed to promote autonomous cross-functional collaboration, mutual support, and collective learning.

Your role as a work and materials planner will be to rally the multifunctional team around a common plan by prioritizing and coordinating various tasks and part deliveries.

Your challenges:

  • Define and manage lean and reliable material flows, from the reception dock to the point of use, in close collaboration with the Logistics-Supply function;

  • Define and implement inventory management as part of an overall working capital improvement strategy;

  • Establish a workshop load plan for the unpaced production section;

  • Develop solutions to align supply and demand to achieve inventory management strategy objectives;

  • Define and document handling equipment needs, from the loading dock to the workstation;

  • Define and document kitting processes for production;

  • Collaborate with different multidisciplinary teams (Logistics-Supply, Methods, Plant Engineering/Infrastructure, Industrial Engineering, Quality);

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects (Excellence search system, 5S, lean manufacturing, cost reduction, manufacturing optimization, etc.).

Your profile:

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in logistics or industrial engineering, operations and logistics management, or a college diploma with equivalent experience;

  • You have two to five years of relevant experience in logistics or production planning;

  • You have relevant experience in the automotive or aerospace industry (an asset);

  • You have a strong interest in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles;

  • You have a good understanding of written and spoken French and English (an asset);

  • You are proficient in using the Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project);

  • You are proficient in using Google Suite (Files, Docs, Slides);

  • You have experience working with SAP (an asset).
