The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for work and material planners to join our Materials and Work Planning (MWP) team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will put your skills to use at the heart of the Final Assembly Line (FAL) operations.
You will be part of the Work and Materials Planning team responsible for establishing daily production plans, following up with various teams (production and suppliers), and ensuring parts are delivered to the line at the right time.
The team organization is established to promote cross-functional collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
Your role as a work and materials planner will be to rally the cross-functional team around a common plan by prioritizing and coordinating various tasks and parts deliveries.
Your challenges:
- Define and drive lean and reliable material flows, from the receiving dock to the point of use, in close collaboration with the Logistics-Procurement function;
- Define and implement inventory management as part of a global working capital improvement strategy;
- Establish a shop load plan for the unpaced production section;
- Develop solutions to align supply and demand to achieve inventory management strategy objectives;
- Define and document material handling equipment needs, from the loading dock to the workstation;
- Define and document kitting processes for production;
- Collaborate with various multidisciplinary teams (Logistics-Procurement, Methods, Plant/Infrastructure Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality);
- Participate in continuous improvement projects (Excellence Research System, 5S, lean manufacturing, cost reduction, manufacturing optimization, etc.).
