Job description

About the role

Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary and a world leader in landing gear and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to manufacturing major landing gear components for the Airbus A320, A330 and A350 models and the Boeing 787. The site features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening and surface treatments.

The polisher's work consists of deburring (rounding) the edges of the part—the main component of the landing gear—to prevent cracks from forming during heat treatment (high-temperature heating). The polisher also performs final-dimension polishing to achieve very precise radii and diameters. This operation is carried out using manual pneumatic tools or a robot. The polisher must inspect the parts.
