View all the job opportunities for this companySafran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacture of major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330 and A350, and Boeing 787 models. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening and surface treatments.
The polisher's work consists of deburring (rounding) the edges of the part, which is the main component of the landing gear, in order to prevent the formation of cracks during heat treatment (high temperature heating). It is also used to give the final dimensions to the part by performing polishing to obtain very precise radii and diameters. This operation is done using manual pneumatic tools or a robot. The polisher must inspect the parts.
