Position objective
This role is responsible for commanding the aircraft and crew during all phases of international flights, delivering a safe, smooth and client-focused travel experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft and the safety of all passengers on board from takeoff to landing.
- Support the flight schedule of the assigned aircraft on an ad hoc basis.
- Develop expert knowledge of aircraft, policies, standards and operating procedures.
Required training and qualifications
- Valid Canadian ATPL licence.
- Valid Class 1 medical certificate.
- Minimum 17,000 total flight hours.
- At least 100 hours on jet aircraft.
- Minimum 500 hours as captain (CDB / PIC).
- CL3500 type qualification.
- Experience on the Challenger 3500 is considered a major asset.
- Candidates must meet ICAO eligibility requirements for commercial operations conducted in whole or in part outside Canada.
- International flight experience preferred.
- Proven experience as a highly experienced captain.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Willingness and ability to travel without restriction.
