Cabin Maintenance and Cleaning Attendant - Full-time - Proactive Recruitment

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada (on-site)
Starting Salary: $22.00/hour - Up to $33.36 after 9 years of continuous service, as provided in the applicable collective agreement.

Shift Premium: Evening shifts (between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.) - $1.00 per hour. Night shifts (between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.) - $1.50 per hour

Air Canada is currently seeking Cabin Service and Cleaning Attendants to join its ground service team. This role consists of ensuring that the aircraft is ready for departure time and is safe. To achieve this objective, cleaning attendants must be quick, meticulous, and efficient so that passengers can experience an enjoyable and comfortable flight. What your day-to-day looks like

As a Cabin Service and Cleaning Attendant, you will play an important role in ensuring our aircraft are ready for departure on time and safely. You will also be required to;

• Equip the aircraft cabin for flight with cabin service supplies.
• Clean and examine the interior of aircraft
• Vacuum the floor, clean surfaces, and replace headrests.
• Fill seat pockets with magazines and safety information.

Required skills and experience

• Available to work shifts
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work within tight deadlines
• Valid driver's license
• Show punctuality and reliability to support the overall success of the team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all applicable transportation security clearances and other additional accreditations. Please consult the Transport Canada website for more details.

Conditions of Employment

• Eligible candidates must be eligible to work in Canada, possess a valid driver's license, and be available to attend full-time training (attendance is mandatory).
• Employees holding this safety-critical position must meet Air Canada's medical requirements to be eligible. Candidates will be subject to a medical evaluation, including drug and alcohol screening, and must not be under the influence of intoxicating substances.
