The Commercial Aircraft A220 program is seeking sealers to join our team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada).

Your challenges:

  • Check the soundness of sealing methods, sealants to be used and areas to be sealed using material and process standards, operational test reports and other relevant documents;

  • Prepare the structural elements of the aircraft, for example, the fuselage, fuel tanks, etc. before sealing, cleaning them with recommended solvents;

  • Correct leaks attributable to joints, rivets and the like to ensure a perfect seal;

  • If necessary, spot (sound) leaks inside pressurized structural fuel tanks and seal them with a bead of sealant;

  • Prepare structural fuel tanks for final sealing by cleaning interior walls, hot air drying, sealing openings and more;

  • Apply a sealant to the walls if needed with a brush and wash away residue;

  • In accordance with material and process standards, reseal until all leaks are eliminated;

  • Seal joints, cracks, voids, fasteners and more, by spraying a bead of sealant on the overlapping edges of parts or by brushing on a bead of sealant; and

  • Knowledge of the safety rules relating to the handling of combustible materials, grounding methods, ventilation circuits and the wearing of protective clothing and breathing apparatus.

Your boarding pass:

  • A T.S.D. Aerospace Structural Assembly OR;

  • A high school diploma or equivalent ;

  • You demonstrate autonomy, initiative, and work well in a multidisciplinary team;

  • You will be required to work in a confined space on a regular basis;

  • You will be required to work at heights of up to 30 feet on a regular basis;

  • You have a good ability to adopt and maintain different physical positions as required by the job.

  • You have a good command of the French language (spoken and written).
