Sealant operator

AAA Canada is looking for several sealant operators to join our team. Under the supervision of the production supervisor.

The incumbent will have as main mandate to seal certain sections of the devices and specific parts, in compliance with established quality standards. Sealant operators are involved in the preparation and application of sealant on various aeronautical components.

Responsibilities

• Estimate the scope of work and the required duration;
• Select the materials required to complete the work;
• Prepare the work area for the task to be performed;
• Prepare ground support equipment, such as stands, scissor lift tables, scaffolding, ladders and trolleys.
• Surface preparation:
• Clean aircraft, parts and components for application and inspection
• Application of coatings:
• Wipe surfaces with a sticky cloth before applying the coating;
• Proceed with the application of coatings.
• Quality assurance and equipment maintenance:
• Record the repair and application in the documentation;
• Evaluate the finished product and the task completed according to defined specifications.

Skills and qualifications

• Hold a DES (High School Diploma) and successfully pass an evaluation demonstrating basic technical skills.
• Ability to distinguish colors, finishes and textures;
• Ability to identify relevant details in objects or graphic representations;
• Ability to notice finishing details;
• Able to work at height (aerial work platform);
• Possess excellent manual dexterity;
• Ability to adapt to numerous technological changes;
• Ease of teamwork (multidisciplinary team);
• Apply good occupational safety practices as well as rules and regulations relating to their work and their work environment;
