Sealant Attendant

AAA Canada is looking for several sealant attendants to join our team. Under the supervision of the production supervisor.

The incumbent will have the main mandate of sealing certain sections of aircraft and specific parts, in compliance with established quality standards. Sealant attendants are involved in the preparation and application of sealants on various aeronautical components.

Responsibilities

• Estimate the scope of work and required duration;
• Select the materials required to accomplish the work;
• Prepare the work area for the task at hand;
• Prepare ground service equipment, such as stands, scissor lift tables, scaffolding, ladders and carts.
• Surface preparation:
• Clean aircraft, parts and components for application and inspection
• Coating application:
• Clean surfaces by rubbing with a tack cloth before applying the coating;
• Proceed with the application of coatings.
• Quality assurance and equipment maintenance:
• Record repair and application in documentation;
• Evaluate the finished product and the task accomplished according to defined specifications.

Skills and qualifications

• Hold a DES (high school diploma) and successfully pass an assessment demonstrating basic technical skills.
• Ability to distinguish colors, finishes and textures;
• Ability to identify relevant details in objects or graphic representations;
• Ability to notice finishing details;
• Able to work at heights (nacelle);
• Possess excellent manual dexterity;
• Easy adaptation to numerous technological changes;
• Ease in teamwork (multidisciplinary team);
• Apply good professional safety practices as well as rules and regulations relating to their work and work environment;
