What your daily life will look like
In a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment, the candidate sought will be called upon to:
- Work from general instructions, manufacturing method sheets, drawings, processing procedures, and other similar instructions.
- Set up, position, and adjust heat treatment furnaces including auxiliary equipment for heat treatment, quenching, stress relief, brazing, cold treatment, and annealing operations on parts, tools, and gauges.
- Handle baskets and parts with a hoist and slings.
- Ensure production optimization and priorities based on existing quality procedures.
- Perform dimensional and visual checks on parts during the manufacturing process as indicated or required using various types of precision measuring instruments and verification gauges.
- Verify material hardness after heat treatment using hardness measuring devices while taking care not to damage critical surfaces.
- Simultaneously operate several closely spaced machines.
- Participate in the development of new processes, products, and reworks for the selection of methods and tools.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain equipment and workspace clean and in good condition.
- Participate in training and share knowledge with teammates on various equipment and tasks.
What you need to succeed
Required requirements:
- Knowledge of thermal processes or any other related training or experience
- Ease in working in a team
- Positive attitude
- Autonomy and rigor
- Sense of initiative
- Manual skills
- Mastery of French (oral and written)
- Good understanding and reading of English
- This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment; nevertheless, it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations
Assets
- Diploma of Vocational Studies in aeronautics, machining, or any other related field.
- Knowledge of the SAP program
- One to two years of work experience in an industrial environment
