SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspections, repairs and other routine building maintenance activities.
• Daily execution of maintenance services and tasks;
• Minor electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry and masonry maintenance tasks
• Lawn maintenance, snow removal and restoration, as needed;
• Assistance in correcting defects noted by internal inspections and external contractors;
• Sign-in and sign-out and escorting of external contractors, in accordance with Skyservice security policies
• Assistance with the issuance, return and maintenance of security keycards;
• Review, monitoring and verification of fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, waste tanks and other areas, according to daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual inspections;
• Routine management of relationships and communications between departments, tenants and owners.
• Inspection of buildings and other structures to ensure the functionality of systems and to determine defects, safety, fire prevention and health/safety issues, troubleshooting and necessary repairs, by formulating observations and recommendations following established procedure and using a periodic checklist;
• Maintenance of an organized system for managing documents, parts, tools and safety equipment;
• Other tasks assigned

TRAINING AND SKILLS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required Post-secondary studies considered an asset
• At least 2 to 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance and record keeping, preferred;
• Valid driver's license
• Restricted Area Pass issued by local airport authorities, considered an asset;
• Intermediate understanding of electrical, plumbing, paving, HVAC systems, preferred;
• Experience with various hand and power tools, necessary;
• Light and medium equipment operator experience, preferred;
• Safety-focused and customer service oriented;
• Capacity for objective, fair and uniform evaluation;
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and on call, as needed;
