The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Design & Integration Professional - Fuselage structures and Doors to join our Fuselage & Doors Design team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work jointly with the fuselage design, stress analysis, materials and processes, Program, final line support teams, and many others.
You will be part of the Fuselage and Doors structure team responsible for developing innovative solutions for long-term product improvements, supporting the final assembly line and in-service aircraft, while ensuring product regulatory compliance.
The team organization is established to promote autonomous cross-functional collaboration, mutual support, and collective learning.
Your role as a designer-integrator will be to develop technical solutions, present them at different reviews, modify and approve engineering documents (2D, 3D, Reports) while managing stakeholders and mastering the management of your projects.
Your challenges:
Production and approval of quality documentation related to changes in the form of 3D models, 2D drawings, reports, presentations, parts lists, etc.;
Closely interact with the Technology, Stress, Systems, Manufacturing, Testing teams and structural suppliers;
Directly support other engineering and operations departments
Support design and program evaluation with partners and suppliers;
Follow developments by integrating projects cross-functionally and ensure deadlines are met by producing quality deliverables (engineering documentation) at the required time;
Apply your knowledge to provide solutions adapted to a variety of technical problems of simple to complex scope and complexity, using a combination of judgment, defined practices and procedures proactively;
Constantly develop yourself in a continuous improvement approach.
Requirements
You have a Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in mechanical or aeronautical engineering with 0 to 5 years of relevant experience in aeronautics or related industry,
You have knowledge of the following: structural design and system installation, design for assembly, design (sheet metal, machined parts, piping, component assembly), stakeholder integration, composites, standards and industrial drawing including GD&T.
You have an interest and ability for aspects related to project management (planning, cost, monitoring, visibility, risk, etc.) cross-functionally
You have knowledge of CATIA/ENOVIA V5, Google suite or MS Office, Python, JavaScript.
You are a curious, quality-oriented, energetic person with excellent communication skills and interpersonal qualities that will allow you to achieve the desired results in a high-pressure work environment.
A strong sense of commitment, willingness to take on responsibilities, autonomy within a team, focus on continuous improvement and the ability to work collaboratively with partners and suppliers are assets.
Bilingualism in French and English (written and spoken) is an asset.
