Design & Integration Professional - Fuselage structures and doors

We are looking for a Design & Integration Professional to contribute to the development and integration of fuselage structures and doors in the aerospace sector. The person will work closely with various engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams, as well as suppliers, to ensure the quality of technical deliverables, adherence to schedules, and the effective resolution of design challenges.

Position Responsibilities

  • Production and approval of quality documentation related to changes in the form of 3D models, 2D drawings, reports, presentations, parts lists, etc;
  • Interact closely with Technology, Stress, Systems, Manufacturing, Testing teams, and structure suppliers;
  • Directly support other engineering and operations departments;
  • Support design and program evaluations with partners and suppliers;
  • Track progress by integrating cross-functional projects and ensure deadlines are met by producing quality engineering documentation when required;
  • Apply knowledge to provide solutions tailored to a variety of technical problems of simple to complex scope and complexity, using a combination of judgment, proactive defined practices, and procedures;
  • Constantly develop through a continuous improvement approach.

Your Profile:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in mechanical or aeronautical engineering with 0 to 5 years of relevant experience in aerospace or a related industry.
  • You possess knowledge of the following: structural design and systems installation, design for assembly, design (sheet metal, machined parts, piping, component assembly), stakeholder integration, composites, standards, and industrial drawing including GD&T.
  • You have an interest and ability in cross-functional project management aspects (planning, cost, tracking, visibility, risk, etc.).
  • You have knowledge of CATIA/ENOVIA V5, Google Suite or MS Office, Python, JavaScript.
  • You are a curious, quality-oriented, energetic person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will enable you to achieve desired results in a high-pressure work environment.
  • A strong sense of commitment, readiness to assume responsibilities, autonomy within a team, focus on continuous improvement, and the ability to work collaboratively with partners and suppliers are assets.
  • Bilingualism in French and English (written and spoken) is an asset.
