Design & Integration Professional - Fuselage Structures and Doors

You have experience in mechanical design and systems, you have, or want to work in aeronautics and you wish to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!

The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Design & Integration Professional - Fuselage Structures and Doors to join our Fuselage & Doors Design team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work jointly with the fuselage design, stress analysis, materials and processes, program, final line support teams as well as many others.

You will be part of the Fuselage Structures and Doors team responsible for developing innovative solutions for long-term product improvements, supporting the final assembly line and in-service aircraft while ensuring product regulatory compliance.

The team organization is established in such a way as to promote cross-functional collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as a design-integrator will be to develop technical solutions, present them at various reviews, modify and approve engineering documents (2D, 3D, Reports) while managing stakeholders and mastering your project management.

Your challenges:

• Production and approval of documentation, in quality, related to changes in the form of 3D model, 2D drawing, report, presentation, parts lists, etc;
• Interact closely with Technology, Stress, Systems, Manufacturing, Testing and structure suppliers teams;
• Directly support other engineering and operations departments;
• Support design and program evaluation with partners and suppliers;
• Monitor evolution by integrating projects cross-functionally and ensure deadlines are met by producing quality deliverables (engineering documentation) at the required time;
• Apply knowledge to provide solutions tailored to a variety of technical problems of simple to complex scope and complexity, using a combination of judgment, defined practices, and proactive procedures;
• Constantly develop oneself in a continuous improvement approach.
