We are looking for a Design & Integration Professional - Fuselage structures, door mechanisms and compliance to join our Fuselage & Doors Design team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work jointly with the fuselage design, stress analysis, materials and processes, Program, final line support teams and many others.

You will be part of the Fuselage and Doors structure team responsible for developing innovative solutions for long-term product improvements, supporting the final assembly line and aircraft in service while ensuring regulatory compliance of the product.

Your role as a designer-integrator will be to conduct trade studies, develop technical solutions, present them at various reviews, modify and approve engineering documents (2D, 3D, Reports).

Your challenges:

  • Perform a trade study on the type of door infrastructure, document the investigation, produce reports, produce concepts and 3D models of the mechanism, structure, and system installations.

  • Produce an engineering cost impact analysis for the design, collect costs from engineering functions, and enable the collection of cost impact data for all stakeholders involved in the project.

  • Master project management for changes for which your group will be the lead.

  • Collaborate closely with DAD, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, design principles, processes, methods, and manufacturing capability guidelines.

  • Communicate and arbitrate between the various MFT functions such as stress analysis, systems, manufacturing, structure suppliers, program office, logistics, and quality to develop new designs and solve problems.

  • Manage your priorities, ensure compliance with change management plans, and implement recovery plans to guarantee compliance with deadlines.

  • Work to reduce non-quality, analyze root causes, and improve efficiency within your sector and across the company.

Your profile:

  • You hold a bachelor's degree, a college technical diploma in engineering, aerospace or equivalent, and possess relevant experience in aerospace door design and manufacturing.

  • You have solid knowledge of aeronautical product regulations, specifically CAR 525.783.

  • You are a person of action with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • You possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

  • You demonstrate leadership, discernment, flexibility, initiative, and can work with minimal supervision.

  • You have a strong sense of commitment, you are able to meet tight deadlines, and you have a sense of urgency.

  • You possess solid knowledge in aircraft doors and structures, compliance, detailed design (sheet metal, machined parts, mechanisms and component assembly), system installation, configuration management principles, design for manufacturing, weight control, costs, and deadlines.

  • You master the use of CATIA design software and the Google suite

  • You are fluent in English (advanced level, spoken and written) and understand French.
