The mission of the Customer Service Global Trade (GT) Group is to ensure requirements related to international trade laws are met across Customer Service departments and embedded or automated in business processes to prevent violations. This includes proactively obtaining export and import licenses and permits, identifying record-retention strategies, assessing classification of products and technology, and establishing a training strategy for all Customer Service employees.
You will join a dynamic, project-oriented, international team with diverse backgrounds (engineering, communications, law, business, etc.). This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.
What your day will look like / Specific Responsibilities:
- Lead compliance/business projects working with Global Trade professionals across Customer Service in Canada, the U.S., and internationally.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of GT processes and standard work.
- Coordinate implementation of RTX and P&WC GT requirements into Customer Service business processes.
- Train Customer Service personnel on GT requirements and policy/regulatory changes.
- Raise GT awareness across Customer Service business units.
- Strategically lead and act as the "go-to" point of contact for GT within various Customer Service departments.
- Ensure smooth shipment of commodities through different DT systems.
- Participate in internal investigations related to GT escapes/violations and implement meaningful corrective and mistake-proof solutions; contribute to voluntary disclosures to applicable governments.
- Manage the GT Focal program.
- Assist in developing training plans and initiatives based on training requirements.
- Collaborate with Legal and other P&WC GT teams to align, streamline, and create cross-company efficiencies.
What do you need to be successful
Required:
- Bachelor degree with 3 to 5 years experience
- Master degree with 2 to 4 years experience
Areas of Study:
- Management / Engineering / Law
Assets:
- Experience with SAP, xClass, GTS, CRM, Excel and PowerPoint
This position is part of a French-speaking work environment; it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand daily documentation and technical terms from international organizations and to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
