The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for an autoflight systems integration professional to join our avionics systems team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada).

You will be part of the autoflight systems team responsible for integration and development of new design solutions applicable to the autoflight systems (AFCS) for the A220 aircraft.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as an autoflight systems design professional will be to design and integrate improved solutions related to the A220 aircraft’s automated flight systems.

Your challenges:

• Participate in the development of the next generation of automated flight systems for the A220;
• Generate requirements based on industry standards;
• Perform software design and modeling based on requirements;
• Perform debugging and maturation in a simulation environment;
• Assist in writing and reviewing test objectives;
• Write and review technical reports;
• Perform problem analysis on test benches and simulation platforms, and develop solutions;
• Prepare work estimates and collaborate in defining schedules.

Your boarding pass:

• You hold a university degree in Software, Aerospace, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering;
• You have at least 8 years of experience in software design for embedded avionics systems;
• You have an excellent mastery of avionics systems, specifically guidance, autopilot, and autothrottle systems;
• You have a good understanding of avionics architecture;
• You have experience in graphical modeling design (SCADE, MATLAB Simulink, or equivalent);
• You have a good understanding of MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering);
• You are familiar with DevOps principles and tools: Git, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins;
• You have experience working within a team using the Agile (Scrum) methodology;
• You have a good understanding of Engineering Change Management, development processes, and avionics systems certification;
• You have a strong knowledge of the regulations and industry standards required for avionics systems development, notably: 14 CFR Part 25, ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-331, CS-AWO, AC 120-28, AC 120-29, ARINC 429, AFDX;
• You are accustomed to teamwork and demonstrate strong organizational skills;
• You have good communication skills (written and verbal). Fluency in English is essential;
• You must be eligible to obtain the necessary export control authorizations (EAR and dual-use goods regulations).
