The A220 commercial aircraft program is seeking an Airworthiness Professional to join the Airworthiness team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada). You will work with the Engineering, Programs and Customer Service teams.
You will be part of the Airworthiness team responsible for project management of safety-related events.
Responsibilities
- Lead internal efforts to maintain an acceptable level of aircraft safety, provide visibility to company management, and offer guidance on company procedures related to airworthiness processes, including internal safety management review processes.
- Liaise with government certification authorities and provide regulatory guidance to other company disciplines.
- Act as the regulatory authority representative for continued safety, product improvements and new designs.
Challenges
Liaise and work closely with Transport Canada, Civil Aviation to meet all Canadian aviation regulations and standards.
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans that meet internal and industry requirements.
- Present findings and recommendations and obtain buy-in from the Corrective Action Review Board (CARB).
- Update local data storage platforms with tracking information so the latest project details are available to all stakeholders.
- Be part of the A220 airworthiness team to provide key leadership for maintaining safety, certification and airworthiness of the A220 program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (with solid industrial experience).
- Aviation experience and experience liaising with government authorities and certification regulations (5 to 10 years).
- Developed project engineering skills and a good understanding of aircraft functionality.
- Organized and motivated; bilingual (French and English) with advanced oral and written English skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) as well as Google tools (Sheets, Docs and Slides) and basic internet skills.
- Solid digital literacy: able to use digital tools effectively, manage and organize data, and navigate digital information to support business objectives in a modern information-driven environment. Able to leverage digital solutions to improve and optimize working methods, enhancing efficiency and innovation.
