The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Simulation Model Integration Professional (f/m) to join our Aircraft Controls team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work closely with the Systems Centers of Competence, the test center team, and the A220 suppliers.

You will be part of the Flight Characteristics team responsible for the development, integration, and validation of simulation models for the A220 ground test platforms.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

As a Simulation Model Integration Professional, you will be the go-to person for the delivery and integration of simulation models on our test platforms.

Your working environment:

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is headquartered in Mirabel, in the greater Montreal area, where the vibrant city of Montreal is just a stone’s throw away. Known for its peaceful and safe environment, the region offers a high quality of life for younger or experienced professionals and families, perfectly balancing career opportunities and outdoor activities that makes it a truly special place to call home.

How we care for you:

  • Financial rewards: Attractive salary, annual bonus, group insurance plan, pension plan and share purchase plan.
  • Work / Life Balance: A hybrid working policy (based on operational needs), on-site cafeterias and a highly competitive holiday policy.
  • Wellbeing/Health: Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Discount Program, on-site Medical Service, access to a public shuttle service between Laval (Montmorency metro station) and Mirabel, and a carpooling application.
  • Individual development: Great upskilling opportunities and development prospects with unlimited access to +10.000 e-learning courses to develop your employability, certifications, accelerated development programmes, national and international mobility.

Your challenges:

  • Actively contribute to the definition, deployment, and implementation of a new ground test platform.
  • Develop and verify the representativeness of simulation models to ensure they adequately represent the performance of aircraft systems.
  • Integrate simulation models onto the ground test platforms.
  • Develop and/or update tools to prepare the delivery of simulation models and verify their integration into the test environment.
  • Act as the team's representative with A220 suppliers delivering simulation models by defining the technical requirements for building the models.
  • Plan and execute the migration of simulation models to future versions of Matlab/Simulink, ensuring compatibility, stability, and the continuous optimization of our environments.
  • Document the associated processes.

Your boarding pass:

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in aerospace, software, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
  • You have relevant experience in system modeling, simulation, as well as in the design, implementation, or integration on ground test benches (Hardware-in-the-Loop / HIL environments).
  • You are proficient in programming languages such as C/C++ and have strong scripting skills (e.g., Windows shell, Unix sh/bash, GNU make), which is essential for managing, developing, and updating compilation tools.
  • You are familiar with the Matlab/Simulink model development environment.
  • You demonstrate autonomy, initiative, and a strong ability to solve problems in a dynamic environment.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in French and English (essential for collaborating effectively with our international suppliers, centers of competence, and test teams).

Due to the sector of activity (aerospace), frequent contacts with Airbus entities worldwide, and interactions with suppliers and clients also located across the globe, proficiency in English is required for this position.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
