The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for an autoflight systems integration professional to join our avionics systems team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada).

You will be part of the autoflight systems team responsible for integration and development of design solutions applicable to the autoflight systems (AFCS) for the A220 aircraft.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as an automated flight systems integration professional will be to integrate, maintain airworthiness and support various improvement projects related to the A220 aircraft's automated flight systems.

Your challenges

  • Perform the integration of guidance, autopilot and auto-throttle systems (AFCS) for the Airbus A220.

  • Coordinate with various Integrated Product Teams/Suppliers and departments for design, validation and verification, testing, certification and support to certification authorities.

  • Generate requirements, review and approve design through participation in the supplier's development, design, manufacture, integration, and verification process.

  • Write and review technical reports.

  • Participate in the Validation and Verification of requirements.

  • Participate in the preparation, execution, and analysis of investigative, development, and certification tests, particularly on test benches and simulation platforms.

  • Conduct technical investigations, analyze, and develop solutions with suppliers.

Your boarding pass

  • You hold a University degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software or Aerospace Engineering.

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in avionics systems integration.

  • You have a good understanding of engineering change management.

  • You have a good knowledge of the regulations of aircraft systems.

  • You have a very good knowledge of avionics systems, and more specifically of guidance, autopilot and autothrottle systems.

  • You are interested in the specification, design, integration, test and certification of Avionics systems on aircraft;

  • You enjoy working in industry regulated environments that ensure a high level of product safety (regulation examples: RTCA documents DO-178, DO-254 and DO-160 and part FAR25 / 525 certification process and with the ARP4754 standard).

  • You are used to working in large teams, well organized and have good planning skills.

  • You have strong communication skills (written and spoken). Fluency in English is essential.

  • You must be eligible to obtain the necessary export control authorizations (EAR and Dual-Use goods regulations).
