The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for an Aircraft Performance Engineering Professional to join our Flight Physics department based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with the teams within the Energy Center of Competence and also with the aircraft performance teams based in Toulouse.
You will be part of the A220 Flight Performance team responsible for developing:
- The tools to calculate low and high speed performance data;
- Analysing the performance data (from flight test or simulator) for ongoing development projects to generate optimised models and to certify them;
- Keep up to date the flight manuals for the A220 operators and support marketing teams for any ongoing contracts.
The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
Your role as Aircraft Performance Engineering Professional will be to:
- Learn and develop aircraft performance software/tools;
- Analyse and generate novel performance models following various product improvement projects;
- Collaborate with aircraft performance teams in Toulouse to harmonise our tools and ways of working between both sites.

Your challenges:
- Perform calculation, analysis and documentation of certified and /or operational aircraft performance data;
- Provide your expertise of aircraft performance to other engineering group;
- Participate in the creation and/or update of aircraft level models through analyses and/or flight test data review;
- Redact and review technical reports demonstrating compliance with airworthiness regulations;
- Participate in the transformation of Airbus Canada engineering capabilities by defining new ways of working in a new Information Management (IM) environment.
Your boarding pass:
- You hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Master in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering;
- You have minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in aircraft performance and other related disciplines;
- You have a passion for aviation;
- You are detail oriented and have a good sense for process optimization;
- You have knowledge with certain coding languages such as Python, VBA, C++ and others.
This role may involve some travels for business (worldwide).
Travel Required: Occasional travel within Canada & Overseas.
Due to the sector of activity (aerospace), frequent contacts with Airbus entities worldwide, and interactions with suppliers and clients also located across the globe, proficiency in English is required for this position.
